Low Mileage 1991 Honda CBR 1000F

Why am I selling it? The truth is now that I’m older  it’s too fast for me. This bike hates to go slow. If you want to meander up and down the boulevard you might want to look elsewhere. This bike was made for high speed runs on long sections of flat pavement or long twisty mountain roads.  When I bought it I did a few high speed cross country trips and it was excellent. Now that I live in Delaware with a speed limit of 55 in most of the state with cops on every corner and a stop light every mile it’s not a very practical bike.  I’m actually now searching for a KLR 650 to do a little light trail riding.

ASKING PRICE $1999.00

LOW MILES! 25,898 original miles.
4-Cylinder
4-Stroke
1000cc

Top Speed? I’ve had it up to around 155mph but I’m sure it will go faster.

This Bike and I have been together almost twice as long as I’ve been married.

Currently the bike has 25,898 Miles on it. Everything other than the Vance and Hines exhaust and the jet kit are original. (I still have the original jets and exhaust if you want them). The engine has not had any additional work done to it other than standard maintenance.  The front brakes, front and rear sprockets and chain were changed less than 2000 miles ago.

Currently the Bike is in Delaware. I can deliver it up to 100 miles away or come and pick it up.

Bodywork Damage

My bike has some mild bodywork damage. While this bike has never been in an accident my father did somehow manage to drop it twice in the garage while I was away in the Military. The grey plastic side pucks are pretty easy to find on the internet and should not cost more than $25 to replace. The long crack in the right hand side faring can be glued or plastic welded. The light scuffs on the side bumpers just need a dab of paint to be like new. There is also a small dent on the top of the gas tank that has been there as long as I have owned the bike. The seat cover has no rips but there is some discoloration where I used to have a saddle bag  resting. For some reason some of the white paint on the rear grab bar has chipped a bit. Sanding and re-painting would make it like new.  The tires are nearly 10 years old and show some signs of dry rot. They are fine for a couple hundred miles of low speed driving but should really be replaced before anybody explores what this bike is capable of.
